We offer many ways to get involved in the parish, one of the best ways to get involved is to minister during Mass. You can do that in the following ways:
Boys and Girls who have received their first communion can join the altar servers after completing training with Fr. Bryan. They carry the cross and candles during the entrance and recessional processions, carry then incense and censure (when used), present the water, wine and bread, assist when the priest receives these from the people, wash the hands of the priest and assist the celebrant and deacon as needed.
May be called upon to carry the book of the Gospel during the entrance procession, read the first and second readings as well as the responsorial psalm, the intercessory prayer (in the absence of a deacon) and the communion antiphon from the ambo
Assist the priest and deacons (if any) in the reverent distribution of Holy Communion during Mass. Also may take communion to those of the congregation unable to come to Mass.
Setup and clean up of the sacristy for use during Mass.
Ministers of Hospitality
Ushers, Greeters, Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors and a few others met with Fr Bryan and Dennis Mahaney, of the Diocesan Evangelization Office to learn to make our parish more welcoming to vistors. Topics of discussion where things like signs and how we need to sign for vistors - not insiders- how to handle different situations, and more. We can always use more help.
For all youth and young adults! It's all about engaging youth where they are, while simultaneously trying to live as witnesses to Christ in their every day lives. Check out our calendar of upcoming events here.
